Curcuma USP 500 mg Tablet: Each tablet contains Curcuminoids (Curcuma longa) USP 500 mg.
Curcuminoids are naturally occurring chemical that provides curcumin its yellow hue. It is derived from the underground stem of the East Indian plant known as (Curcuma longa). For many years, this plant has utilized as traditional asian medicine to treat various illnesses. The anti-inflammatory actions of Curcuminoids involves interfering with NF-κB, reducing the inflammatory response of TNF-α-stimulated human endothelial cells. Curcumin acts as a potent anti-inflammatory agent and anti-carcinogenic actions via modulating various signaling molecules. It suppresses a number of key elements in cellular signal transduction pathways pertinent to growth and malignant transformation; it was demonstrated in vitro that curcumin inhibits protein kinases, c-Jun/AP-1 activation, prostaglandin biosynthesis, and the activity and expression of the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX). It prevents prostaglandin secretion. Curcuminoids markedly suppress the expression of COX-2, IL-1β, IL-1RN, and IL-6. Curcuminoids are widely recognized for their various health benefits, which include anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, hypoglycemic, anti-inflammatory and anticancer activity.
• Rheumatoid arthritis • Osteoarthritis• Traumatic swelling and pain • Dental plaque • Cancer-associated pain or inflammation • Indigestion • Loss of appetite • Kidney inflammation and cystitis • Abdominal pain • Heat stroke.
1–2 tablets 2-3 times daily after meal or as directed by the physician.
Curcuminoids are well tolerated in the recommended dose.
It is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to curcuminoids.
Not recommended during pregnancy. No known restrictions during lactation.
Store at a cool and dry place below 30° C temperature, away from direct sunlight & moisture.
